Could not find how to install with enough tension to hold it in place. Also, could not find how to hold the two end caps in place, they are considerably loose and there doesn’t seem to be any component to tighten them.

This curtain rod has stood the tests of time and 6 children later it is still intact. The rod is worth the money and has not crumbled under the stresses of daily use.

Do not buy if you want a straight forward, simple install. Hoping the faff is worth the effort.

So I bought an open box item on this and saved money. It was perfect like brand new. It gives my bathtub shower combination some breathing and elbow room and makes it feel spacious. You are able to adjust it to fit your specific shower space. While more complicated than a regular shower curtain rod the assembly was straight forward and simple and putting up was a bit awkward but not horrible. Stays in place. I would recommend and purchase my self again especially at the open box price.
