About five minutes into putting this mattress protector on the bed my toddler split food on it. Thankfully, it wiped off easily with no damage to the mattress below. I don’t know how clear it is from the photo, but the sides are mesh- making it perfect for toddler jumps. As for the sound, it’s minimal. This is a really nice waterproof mattress pad! It is not plasticky feeling and it doesnt sound like swishy when you sit on it or move around on the bed. It has nice deep pockets and I have a tall mattress and I usually have trouble finding sheets that fit, so it was a nice surprise when it fit. I recommend it if you are looking for one.. Samantha.
