I'm reviewing so I can perhaps help others who had the same issue I did and they will be able to still use the item. The instructions are only photos. It should include in the directions to make sure the tiny screws in piece B (the clamp), are Allen wrenched out of the threaded opening before inserting the pole. Then use the Allen wrench to tighten them to the pole or the pole won't be inserted properly. I also couldn't use the key board tray as I would like it to go flat on the desk but the design doesn't allow that. I'm using a laptop stand instead for the keyboard. I'm also placing the tray from Mount-it on top so I can use my mouse too while standing. I just set it up yesterday, so I hope the monitor stays in place on the pole. It feels like it could use something else to hold it in place. This is the only sit stand monitor are that is long enough for me to comfortably attach my 27" monitor so, I hope it continues to perform well. One more note, make sure your desk is solid wood, not a honeycomb filled board or the pressure will be too great for the arm and monitor. I had to get a solid wood desk top for this to be stable.. I found it easy to put together with the main arms already assembled and only needing to follow the well-labelled pieces to fully put it together. The directions only had pictures, with no words, so the section where there were two ways to use the arm was a bit unclear at first, but made sense with further examination. I found it to be sturdy and the cord management covers would have kept things neat but they also fell off rather easily when moving the piece. The adjustments were good for leveling the monitors. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First, this was incredibly easy to assemble, so if you were worried about putting it together, don’t be! I will note that one of the very, very tiny screws fell off an arm in shipping, so don’t throw away your box until you’ve finished assembly, just in case you need to search for a piece! The mount to my desk was very easy (I have a less than 2-inch thick desk, so I was able to use the first method of just tightening the screw to my desk. The arms move well and easily, even with the weight of the monitors on them. One thing I hadn’t expected was how far forward the mounts would put the screens—I may need a wider desk! We did have to buy an adaptor because our screens did not have the parts needed to connect to these arms, but it was SO worth it. I can just swoop my screens in all different directions now. I personally like 3-4 screens (I have four at work!) but at home (where these pictures were taken) I use my laptop as a screen and then I had the two monitors propped on books until we got the desk mount and it is so much nicer to have the desk mount! I prefer one screen lower and then one higher than my laptop screen and without the books propping my screens, the workspace is less visually cluttered and it’s a cinch to adjust my setup depending on what I’m working on. Perfect for my setup. I mounted my work monitors (Lenovo brand that has a mini pc dock built in so it is much heavier than a normal monitor). I have never had an issue with it. It is nice and tall enough to rise above 32" monitors beneath it. When I no longer need my work monitors, I can push both of them back and lift my gaming monitors to eye level and, man it is a breeze. Can't imagine living and working without this now!
