Chairback copain

I've now had these for 4 years. Beginning 3 months in I had the first tear down the side. Took it home and sewed it. By Winter Break, I had several more in need of repair. It is now part of my routine to take the torn ones home over Winter Break, Spring Break and again over summer to repair. Most have been sewn more than once on both sides. They are NOT overstuffed. They hold one spelling workbook and one reading workbook and one homework folder. Out of the 28 purchased, only 2 haven't needed repaired, and that is most likely because I haven't had 28 students each year so they haven't been used as much. For the amount of money these cost, there is zero excuse for them to be made so poorly. And so I continue to sew those each year because I don't have another $400 to buy new ones from a different company.

I am looking forward to fall, and using my new chair pack. I am using it with my small tutoring group and it’s very very nice to have all my items at my finger tips. I will order a couple more for two more areas in my classroom: one for my writing area and one for my assessment area. I believe they would be great for the children’s chairs as well. I teach preschool so my little ones wouldn’t need them.

As the other reviewers have stated, be prepared to sew the pockets back on at the sides. I found that I needed a strong embroidery needle and thread to get through the vinyl and canvas. I've had to repair six or seven of them every year.

My kindergarteners love having their own space to keep their tools. I like that it has several pencil holders a large pocket for a school box and a really large pocket to hold folders and even a thick workbook. The name tags make it easy to move kids around. I appreciate that they are washable and well sewn.

I am a Special Education Resource teacher and my students receive the majority of their education in a general education classroom. They are required to keep a lot of folders, books, and supplies in a desk with a small opening in the front. It is often difficult for my students to locate the items they need in a timely manner.
