Doesn’t power up

The ice-70 works well. I have made several different types of ice cream and they all come out smooth and creamy.

I purchased the Cuisinart Cool Creations 2 quart ice cream maker based on the wonderful reviews, and for the most part we are quite happy with the purchase. The machine seems well constructed, although I do wish the churning paddle was made of metal instead of plastic for extra stability and longevity. The unit is easy to use, but you must follow the directions exactly regarding how long to freeze the bowl before use to get the best results. Additionally, we are struggling a bit to produce a product that is consistently smooth and creamy rather than grainy and icy, but I'm not sure if that result is because of the machine or the recipes we have tried.

Product works well. The only difficulty we've had is with the lid not clipping on securely every time.
