Gorgeous heavyweight Mikasa set very nice price

One of the forks was damaged and rough on the bottom edge. The handles feel a little bit short based on the size of the top portion, especially the teaspoon. I wish they sold this with 24 salad forks and 24 teaspoons or you were able to buy them extra at a reasonable price. If you’re seating 12 people and have a salad starter and then a dessert, you have to wash them during your dinner party because you only have 12. The weight and quality is nice especially since nickel became expensive companies have tried to cut cost and are not making 18/10 silverware anymore. They’re making 18/0 and it does not wear well, but they’re trying to convince you that it’s just as good. It isn’t.

Loved the pattern an structure however the knives kept rusting. At first thought it was something we were doing so wiped them before washing in the dishwasher. Got so bad that I contacted Mikasa who replaced the knives. Took all the old ones out & used only the new ones. They quickly rusted. Our Bosch dishwasher does not have drying cycle so know that is not it. Mikasa / Lifetime brands has graciously offered to replace the entire set.
