Looks gorgeous on my mantle and no winding involved to get it to work. Love both chimes and it is easy to read from the couch. Very pleased with this purchase.

I love this mantel clock! It's just the right size with an easy-to-read face. I did not want to listen to the chimes, so turned off that option. I would recommend this item to anyone looking for a cute clock that will fit on a bookshelf or mantel.

Nice looking and clock, but it seems to run a little fast. The chines have adjustable volume with good quality sound.

This is a beautiful clock. I set it on Westminster Quarters which are four notes: G♯, F♯, E, and B. The notes are arranged in sequences to create the melodies at quarter past, half past, and quarter to the hour, with the full hour marked by striking the number of hours on the hour bell (note = E). I chose this clock to replace a large grandfather clock I had in earlier years. I remembered not only how soothing it was but also how it became a part of my psyche. I loved hearing it it in the middle of the night when I would find myself awake and be able to pinpoint the time by the next chime sequence. I may switch to the other chime sequence (Whittington) at some point, but, somehow, I doubt it. The volume adjustment is a good feature, and the chime can be silenced in the evening if you prefer.
