Botanical Series-CDxxxiii - Toile tendue avec châssis - Prêt à être accroché

I like the print and was really looking forward to hanging this in my kitchen, but I am a little disappointed in one thing. The actual image looks a bit stretched - kind of like someone took a 4 x 6 photo and tried to stretch it into a 6 x 9. The proportions are not right. If you look at the photos, the pears look a bit squat and fat, not the normal proportions of a pear. It's not such a bad a distortion that I would not keep it, as I think it takes someone with a sharp sense of artistic form to notice that the proportions are not right. But as someone who has art training, it doesn't look right to me. I am showing the print both laying flat on the floor, in a direct overhead shot, as well as above my kitchen cabinets where I hung it. I do think it will look ok as kitchen art, but although I like it; I don't love it, due to the distortion of the image.

I love this oil painting wrapped canvas! I thought it would look great above the doorway of my kitchen. It’s super simple, and I love the color of the pears. It’s very light weight, and comes with the brackets to use to hang it with. If I had thought about it, I would have used command strips. That would have been even easier. Really nice!!

This canvas exceeded my expectations! The light green pears are beautifully done with just the right amount of detail, and the colors are soft and calming. It adds such a fresh, natural touch to my space without being overwhelming. The quality of the gallery wrap is excellent and it arrived ready to hang. I’ve already had friends comment on how elegant it looks. Perfect piece for bringing a little charm and warmth to any room!
