My husband and I are extremely pleased with the Hermle Austen Clock (we chose the Cherry finished case, with the quartz movement). We researched for some time before deciding on this chiming, mantle clock by Hermle. First, the quality is excellent, with a German-made movement and an American-made case. Also, the Cherry finish is perfectly even, and the brass dial and handle are lovely, subtle tones. Just as important, the chimes sound wonderful -- almost as though we were in London and hearing Big Ben from a distance (there are 3 options for the sound of the chimes, we use Westminster). Finally, the Perigold staff were great at answering my questions before I placed the order, and the Perigold shipping was really fast.
