Even after reading the reviews I was thinking the mirror was inset. It is not. It is a beveled mirror adhered on the top of the frame. Its a nice look, just different than I was expecting. One corner had some minor dings in the paint, but nothing a little touchup cant fix. Was packaged well on the outside. Perfect size for our bathroom.
