Easy to install. So much better than the expandable kind. It’s so incredibly beautiful too! Looks great with my new curtains. It arrived quickly and was expertly packaged so nothing was damaged in shipping.

I took off TWO stars for the lack of explanation on how to deal with this "adjustable" rod that does not adjust in the way that 99% of customers will expect. This is NOT one of those rods where one side is a slightly smaller diameter so that it fits into the other side and you slide it narrower or wider to make it the width that you need. This rod is two pieces that are the SAME diameter, and there is a 5- to 6- inch piece that you insert to join the two together. To get it to your final width, you have to actually cut the main rod. I tried with a hacksaw and that did not work. I then borrowed a handheld grinder tool and that worked perfectly and quickly. LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE: I did not think it through before I cut, and there were no warnings or recommendations on this, so what I did was decide how many inches needed to be removed and cut this away from one of the pieces. WRONG. I should have divided by two and cut half of the overage from EACH of the pieces. It is the third wall bracket that hides where the two main pieces join together, and because I cut the full overage from one piece, that meant that I could no longer put the middle bracket in the actual middle. It was too late and now my only choice was to put the middle bracket off-center. Too bad for me. I think the description on wayfair should explain that you need a tool to cut the rod, and then the instructions should put in BIG RED LETTERING that you need to cut half of the overage from each piece rather than cutting the full overage from one piece. Even though I ruined the spacing on this installation, I would buy this rod again. This is a much better look than the telescoping/expandable rods that we are all used to. In the photo, you can see that I had to place the middle bracket off-center toward the left. You HAVE to place a bracket where the two rod pieces meet. It must have the support, and you also need it to cover the connection. This came with three brackets only, otherwise I would have faked it and added a fourth one off-center to the right to disguise my measure/cut mistake. The instructions really should include the measure/cut logic and process.
