I am very happy with this wooden box. It really looks impressive. I keep this on a side table in the kitchen. Love the vintage look. My husband takes many medicines and I wanted something decorative to keep them in. I have no idea why this item is described as "tan." It is a warm golden color that goes well with the golden oak in my room. My only concern is how it is packaged. This wooden box is inside a cardboard box that is inside an outer carboard box. Packing tape holds both boxes sealed on the top. Getting the outer box open is easy. However, when attempting to open the inner box, DO NOT USE A BLADE IN THE CENTER OF THAT PACKING TAPE. The leather handle, unprotected, is directly below the center of the box. If you cut that tape open with a blade, you will definitely damage the handle.

Exactly what I was looking for!

Sure glad I did not pay the original price; this box is barely worth the sale price. The top and front of the box seem to be leather, but the rest is cheaply finished - possibly balsa - wood that in no way matches the rest.
