It flickers nicely. It can be used with or without the base attachment.

This item is not the best. Too small, and cheaply made. I have been happy with other Wayfair items that I have purchased, though.

Very nice flameless candle. I put this candle in a lantern that I already had and which broke some time ago. I loved it so wanted to light it up again and this candle was perfect for doing that. I love the candle timer which makes it so nice not having to turn it on or off every day. It lights up and stays on for 6 hours and stays off for 18 hours. Probably going to order 2 more. Very happy with this purchase.
