It looks just like the picture on both sides. The material is very smooth and the pillow is very well stuffed, not thin at all. I bought it for my 4 year old daughter's bed. I like how the design isn't cartoon-y feeling so it will grow with her and the different ways she wants her room to look over the years ahead. I would have liked the material to be cotton, but that is almost impossible to find in these sort of themed pillows.
