Really thick, nice quality material that matches a bed quilt exactly. As the length was a bit shorter than I could use as a valence, and the length a bit too long, I used it as a runner on a chest of drawers.

I bought this set 2 years ago and love it. The quilt is a very nice size and heavy but washes so well and keeps the beautiful colors. My dog had an accident in the middle of the night and since I only had 1 quilt I had to use another comforter that I have. There is no comparison, all of the others seem flimsy compared to this. I love it so much that I ordered another one. This is worth every penny, a good, quality product from a good, quality company!

I bought 2 for each window because I like the more ruffled look rather than the straight boxy type valance. They are beautiful and match my blue ridge bedding just fine!!
