Theyre exactly as described! The perfect size and weight to hold my books up, plus it matches my decor great. There is kind of a yellow tinge to the edges of the marble base, but its not that noticeable.

It’s beautiful but it’s not very heavy, I have a lot of books in between both bookends and I worry they might fall. If you don’t have many books in between it’s perfect

The base is hollow, however, very sturdy. Up close there are very obvious yellowing from what appears to be sanded glue at the seems. Because its handmade, I feel it adds to the charm. However, if you’re looking for a more pristine piece this isn’t the way to go. I’m overall very pleased with my purchase.
