Global Views is proud to be the first manufacturer in the United States to present the latest technology in home decor: a sound-made Portuguese ceramic collection. The process begins with recording an amazing voice in a spaciously beautiful monastery in Alcobaca (pronounced al-ku-ba-sa), Portugal. A computer program first maps the coordinates for the base of the design and then allows the sound of the voice to create the shape that builds from there. Once completed, the digital design is 3D printed into a mould that's used to create slip-moulded ceramic vases. You'll notice that the vessels are only available in a white finish as a tribute to the monastery's Cistercian aesthetic, which prohibited all coloured and patterned stained glass. Only colourless stained glass was allowed for light to pass through as clean, pure, and white providing tranquillity and calmness.
