I don't know if the different sizes have different features (we got 9" tallx3"x3"), but there are some reviews on here that are crazy. I wanted to put this candle in an area with direct sunlight for part of the day, so rather than have it melt, I emailed customer service. They got back to me right away with a polite response that they didn't know the answer to the question and were going to contact the manufacturer. A couple of days later they assured me it wouldn't melt. I placed the 2 C batteries in it on July 9th and have left it on 24/7 inside an enclosed glass container on my front porch. I was curious how long the batteries would last, expecting to change them in a day or 2. It is in perfect shape and still burning brightly and flickering away yet today 16 days later. If I can update, I'll let you know how much longer the batteries last. It gets direct sunlight for about 4 hours every morning. Temps have regularly risen into the 80's. Our front porch thermometer in direct sunlight will often read 95-100º. Nothing has been damaged or melted. The exterior does feel and look very much like wax, but it evidently is not. The flickering is quite realistic, especially through the glass container. It is bright enough that people have noticed this from the road (rural, country, gravel) and messaged compliments. I opened it in a cleaning rush preparing for 50 people to stay at our place for a reunion so... if I got the remote, I tucked it away and can't find it - so I can't comment on that. But I LOVE this candle and will definitely be purchasing more.
UPDATE: The 2 C batteries that we put in this candle on 7/9/23 finally burned out on 7/29/23 after 20 days of being on 24/7. That is 480 hours of lovely flickering! These were Energizer Max Premium C cell batteries purchased for ~$1.62/battery.
