«Town with Clear Blue Water» par Brickrena - photographie sur toile tendue

This is hanging on our wall....the only other pic I've found with a calm blue ocean is 800.00. (I found it after getting this picture and not liking it.) And so we are trying very hard to like this picture and keep it. But: It's faded looking, the closer you get to it the more obvious is a slight dent in the canvas and stretch marks in the canvas. Also there are vertical lines going across the canvas which are noticeable from 15 ft. away when the overhead light is on. I will likely send it back next week. :( I believe we ordered a 30" x 30" sq. Maybe a much smaller picture would not have these issues. I love the scene. I love the color of the water and the feeling you get when you look at the parts without the sky...which is where the dents are and lines show up the most. In fact if we keep it I'll take it to Hobby Lobby and ask them to cut it down to just those parts and frame it. In summary....it is cheap looking, but the composition is beautiful.
