It is a cute picture; I put it in my guest bathroom. The picture is screen printed on to the glass. The description says this but I had not realized what it meant until I received the picture. The area that would normally be the "matting" is actually whatever color the wall is behind the picture. It worked okay for me since my bathroom walls are a light cream color.
