The frame is cardboard, and there were a few visible scratches on it. Black permanent marker did a good enough job hiding the marks, so we did not return or replace it. The fact that it is a screen print is very obvious up close since it is not on canvas, but it looks good in the spot we have it. The biggest factor for the rating is the hardware. The frame comes with hardware, but you have to put the hardware on the back of the picture yourself, which adds another step to getting the picture up.

Looks great in my green, white, cream, black and rust bedroom. Lightweight enough to hang above my bed - no worries we'll be seriously hurt by it or broken glass if there is an earthquake while we're sleeping and it falls in us (I live in the Bay Area so this is a concern). Long enough to work well over a long headboard. Perfect mid-century vibe.

Picture is a real match for my modern olive green couch. Perfect length, too.
