Figurine oiseau sur rocher céleste II

Cute, but ... One thing I did not care for is that the little bird is VERY shiny. I actually sprayed it with a bronze paint, then brushed some off immediately. It toned down the shine. The stone is a pale blue, not a vibrant blue.

A little small but it looks very cute.

A little 'rougher' than the picture. The geod was not angled as is the picture, ie. it is quite flat by comparison. The bird isn't as delicately 'cut' or cast as I imagined from the picture. It is heavy, and larger: However, and I am thinking about using this piece as a paper weight for paperwork I can't yet get to yet. The gold plate of the bird against the geod shades of blue and ivory is quite pretty.

This piece is beautiful and looks great in its new home. However, I was surprised that it doesn’t have a felt bottom to prevent scratching. It is a rough stone piece. Guess that will be a DIY.
