I love that this mirror is hardwired, so I don’t have to worry about the messy cord. I have the black version, and one thing to note is that if you don’t allow enough clearance when flipping the mirror, it can mark up the wall—my builder-grade paint shows scuffs easily, which doesn’t help. The magnification helps with detailed tasks, and the built-in light provides sufficient illumination for the mirror area. That said, you’ll still want additional room lighting unless you’re very close to the mirror.

The lighting in the mirror is cool white and isn’t very good lighting for applying makeup. Since it’s hardwired you can’t really test it out without installing it. I would pick something else if I could do it again.
