This mirror is just meh. I ordered both the oval and the round versions and think the oval version is generally better made — so if you’re debating between them like I was, the oval is a better bet.
This first time this mirror came, the joint in the frame was not even at all and there was a large gap, plus there was gold splatter all over the mirror and it wouldn’t come off. I swapped it and received the one pictured, which looks like someone else had a similar problem and either at the warehouse they tried to make a repair — or someone at home tried to make a repair then returned it. There is some sort of gold paintputty that is partially smeared in the gap (it almost looks like Rub n Buff) and it was brushed on the mirror frame near the gap to try to blend it, but it’s still sort of obvious that it’s not the exact same color.
There were also some splatterflaws on this mirror, but I got them off with some rubbing alcohol and elbow grease.
I didn’t have this issue with the oval one at all, and didn’t want to return and swap this one again, so I kept this one— it’s just in my guest room, so it won’t drive me nuts every day.
