Magnifique!!!

Well, I really want to love this painting, or certainly as much as I did when first discovering it on Wayfair. On line, I love the image, on line I especially love the light and airy feel of the soft neutral colors. However, in hand once I received it, I find it much more lack-luster, and kinda’ dull. The colors seem much darker in hand, and a tad muddy. I even chose the silver frame, as a lighter color option (VS black or any other) to hopefully pull out the lighter tones, more than the dark (knowing the challenges of selecting an appropriate frame to best enhance a painting’s colors). And actually a bit of irony here is that I find it rather odd, that with as many art reproductions that Wayfair sells (*on ‘canvas’) they chose to do this one (which has visibly heavy brush strokes from the artist) on printed ‘paper.’ And unfortunately, I find the result of doing that, actually ‘cheapens’ the visuals of an otherwise really beautiful image-painting. From one of my images provided here, I placed their selling photo next to a very nice rug which I also bought from Wayfair for my kitchen, which from their two selling photos of each item, looks like a really lovely combination, but when you compare that photo to the two others I’ve provided here, you see my clear disappointment of the actual art in hand. So, I’m really at a crossroads about whether or not to return it.
