I loved the look of these “books” but they are very simply thin cardboard, like a cereal box. There were zero instructions when received and damage from shipping. The plus side is that I can probably hide money and secret items in these fake book boxes when using as decor in our bookcase.

Im not a fan of this product. They come flat and you have to fold them into books. They dont look realistic at all up close and are very flimsy. I also found they fall over easily so you need to lay them down or find something to lean against them. I would not recommend.

These decorative books are good for what I was looking for, a good addition for easy decorating. I did think they would be a little higher quality, but they are fine for what I’m using them for. They arrived flat, and you fold them into shape. They are a thick cardboard and there is an attached tape piece that you use to stick the final piece in place. I was thinking they would open and close and you could store things in them, but it’s not exactly that. You can open it from the bottom but you would have to shake out whatever you store in there. It’s just not what I was thinking, a little less quality and cheaper looking than I expected but it does fit my needs so I’m happy.

So I was a little surprised, and I guess I didn’t read the fine print that these pseudo books would come as cardboard. However, I stuffed the box with some paper and stacked it up onto the soffit shelf and it looks like a real books. I think they look great.
