They show up as flat pieces of paper that are difficult to put together. Not what I thought at all. I knew they were boxes, but I thought they would at least be put together.

These are not as sturdy as other faux books I've bought although the "book" jackets are nice. I got the look I was going for but be careful assembling them because it's easy to dent the cardboard.
