I wanted a Lucite rod but the cost is prohibitive and I would have to bring guests into my dining room to point out its beauty--so this was my alternative; a good alternative for sure! Since my ceilings are 20' it is impossible to get a good picture but here is an idea. The rod is exactly what it looks like in the ad picture. I probably would have returned if the ceiling was 8-9' and it was more readily seen because it certainly doesn't have an expensive look, but then, the price reflects that and at 20' height it isn't much of an issue. The Lucite decoration is a nice size and glistens appropriately when the lights are on. Overall, it worked for the price and I am pleased.
