The bowls are pretty and obviously work to hold food, but the description led me to believe it was one much larger decorative bowl. I was going to use it for decor, but that is not what I got. I was also hesitant to put in the microwave due to the metal look in the bottom and can not find the info that states if they are microwave safe or not.

Very nice set of four bowls. The gold color is elegant with a deeper gold bottom. Can be used for everything from soup to salad or cereal and berries. I will also use during the holidays as snack and candy serving bowls. The cleaned up very good in the dishwasher without fading.

I ordered the dinner and salad plates of this set on a whim, thinking they would be an attractive accent to my black or white plates on special occasions, and I ended up liking them so much I also ordered the dessert plates and bowls. The glass construction feels sturdy, but also lightweight. The starburst ridges, and 'natural' (somewhat irregular) borders provide visual interest. The bowl design is a bit more wavy looking than the plates were, but in a way that clearly looks stylistic and not accidental. The coloring appeared somewhat amber to me in the listing online, but in reality there's a metallic gold hue that shines through the more clear top layer. (I tried capturing this in multiple lighting scenarios with the other pieces to give a better sense; I don't think the listing photos do the beauty justice). All in all, a great design that will add some glamorous flair to a holiday or special occasion place setting. And despite the item title, note that this a bowl set of 4--not just 1 bowl!

These glass bowls are stylish and elegant! (Even though my spouse does not agree) I love their unique shape, the lovely color, and the gold accented bottom. They are dishwasher safe and easy to clean and dry. They arrived almost immediately and were very well packaged. I love them! A nice set of four.
