CANNOT be installed vertically. I ordered this item because someone had already posted the question "Q: "Can this mirror be mounted either vertical or horizontal?" and it was answer with "A: "This Mirror can be mounted either in vertical or horizontal." John from Wayfair on Sep 20, 2019"" There is also a customer review showing a photo of this mirror being hung vertically, with no mention that they modified the mirro some how. There are very large metal J brackets on the back of the mirror only on the long side of the mirror. Wayfair did not cover return shipping even though I based my purchase on the incorrect answer by a Wayfair employee. Therefore, I will buy a replacement elsewhere. Although the mirror is beautiful, the images make it appear that the light goes through the lines on the glass frame. But they are just etched and this is backlit. The J brackets for hanging the mirror make it protrude from the wall by about 1.5 inches. However, it can be hardwired if you cut off the plug. Or you add an outlet behind the mirror. It protrudes from the wall enough that you might not even need a recessed outlet.

I was so excited to receive this mirror but unfortunately it arrives chattered the first time. Gave it the benefit of the doubt and ordered again second one was cracked in multiple parts. So disappointed threw my bathroom renovation back a few weeks. I’m happy with Wayfair customer service they were great with the refund. So unhappy with the mirror.

Unique lit mirror. I get tons of compliments on it. Love the defog feature too.

Packaged well haven’t taken it out of box due to not needing install for 3 weeks and I’m concerned it could get damaged but delivery and packing is excellent
