I love the fabric for this pillow! I have the 18" square and also the lumbar in the beige color and 20" in the dark gray. The velvet has a beautiful sheen and the pattern isn't loud. There is no piping but it's not really necessary. The same fabric is on back and front. The polyfill inserts are thick so they make pillows appear a little smaller than the stated sizes, you can get flatter inserts or choose the feather option if trying to maximize the dimension.
