I really wanted rods with mercury glass balls, but I could not find the quantity I needed in stock anywhere. This style was my second choice. It works well in my vintage cottage. It is on me that I did not notice the narrow diameter of the rod. Because my curtains are 96", I think a beefier rod would have been a better counterbalance. For the price, it's a good choice.
