Absolutely awful. By the time I got around to installing this rod, it was past the return window. The mechanism is completely non-functional. I followed every step of the directions, and it did take time, but it was straight forward. However, pulling the cord did not work, pushing the clips themselves did not work, and I think this is due to a bad factory installation of the rope, or perhaps the the rod is too narrow for the clips. I'm not sure, but this does NOT open and close--period. I do not recommend.
