[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all these lanterns are stunning to look at. They are absolutely beautiful, especially with a flameless candle glowing in them at night. I bought a set of 6" ivory flameless candles for them and they look great but the main reason I bought them is because they come with a remote. I didn't want to have to open the doors on the lanterns a lot to have to turn the candles on and off because I realized pretty quickly that these lanterns are not made the best. The handles at the top definitely cannot be used because they are already coming off. The big lantern rocks because one of the corners on the bottom are shorter than the others. Also on the short lantern, when you go to close the door you have to lift up a little so it goes back in place smoothly. You definitely cannot touch them or mess with them too much because you can already feel the wood coming apart from the glass. These are definitely set up and leave alone decorative items but I love looking at them so I will just be very careful.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are very large (one is substantially larger than the other) and quite heavy. Both are made of real wood and the craftsmanship is really exquisite. Both lanterns have an iron ring for hanging and a sturdy base for sitting anywhere you like. They also have nice metal clasps that secure the door that opens to allow candles to be placed inside. Both are a beautiful cream shade and have a weathered finish that fits well with the coastal, nautical theme. I love these lanterns so much, they match the beachy, cream, blue, green theme of my living room and add a lot of character to my fireplace!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm literally obsessed with the ocean and planning on moving to a nearby beach town once hubby retires so when I saw these I just knew they would fit perfectly with our beachy decor. You get 2 Lighthouses - 1 is 36" and the other is 29", the off white wood is weathered and each piece is unique, no 2 are the same. The entire lantern is encased in glass and can be opened to put in a pillar style candle - I actually use a battery operated pillar that looks quite real - and the front can be opened then secured with the latch. I have these lanterns on opposite sides of our fireplace in our rec room and am absolutely in love with them. I was initially worried about the glass because we have a golden retriever whose happy tail seems to knock into everything in its path but we have had no accidents, the doors and sides are quite secure and the glass is covered by the wood X which seems to provide some protection. The top of each lantern has 4 round holes on the roof to allow for smoke if you use an actual candle but I would recommend placing onto a fireproof plate as none is included. Looking forward to having this great set in our beach home in the next couple years, it is quite the centerpiece to the room and we have gotten many compliments.
