Love these valence. The design and the shape of them are just what I was looking for. The fabric is fairly heavy weight so they are not see through. I did iron them before putting them up. You probably could get away with not ironing if you just put them in the dryer for a little bit, as long as you are not too picky about wrinkles. They are cotton/polyester blend. The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of five is that one side of one of the pairs was about an inch longer where they met in the middle. Luckily I have a sewing machine so I ripped out the seam and resewed it so they matched. I would recommend them to a friend. I bought the ones listed as Blue, but they are mostly dark green with blue and tan.
