Pictures online appear the item is very stylish. Packaging appeared to be sufficient however curtain rod received was extremely scratched. Unable to add additional pictures to show the extent of the scratched rod, which is in all three pieces.

I bought this because it was suppose expand up to 10'. I think it may be defective. I cannot remove the end piece from the narrow rod so I cannot expand it to larger size. My husband will have to cut it open in order to make it work. If I had time, I would send it back. I recommend that you check out this item as soon as it arrives to make sure it will work the way it is suppose to.
