I was looking for a piece of artwork that I could hang over my mantle during the holidays as a temporary replacement for my standard artwork. This fits the bill just perfectly. The black and white color scheme is calm enough to hang prominently in my home without screaming "holiday cheer" and maintaining a level of sophistication that was important to me. The simple woodcut design is minimalist enough to look at all season long yet the design is festive enough to evoke a Scandinavian Christmas - even here in Texas where it's 3 billion degrees in December.
