I'll be completely honest, I wasn't sure how I felt about this piece when I saw it for obvious cultural reasons but it's honestly pretty cool. I use the plate to put my wallet, keys and a few other things in and it's sturdy enough to hold more than that and act as a functional part of my living room instead of just a funny centerpiece without purpose. I wouldn't say it's worth over a grand but it has enough character to be worth it at maybe a 3-4 hundred less. I don't recommend it unless those cost is something you can afford a few times over and not feel bad about
