I got them professionally installed and they look great, however I can’t open the bars to put on a curtain any advice

Plastic junk. Flimsy overall. Very difficult to screw in due to the size of the hole in the mount and the screw width. When using the drywall anchors I could only get two to three (of the four) screws to go in.
