Lights work but only with 2 DD batteries which are not included. Don't know if the description of the lights included this detail

This turned out to be a bit large for my lantern (I should have measured better) but I like it so much, I found another use for it. I'd also prefer a more realistic look, like wax with dripping, etc, but the effect of the flickering and the brightness make this a spectacular candle. Turn it on once and it turns itself off and on every day.
