The navy wallpaper is beautiful. The texture is sufficiently authentic visually that a cat gave scratching it a try. This was my first wallpapering project, and I was worried about the other reviews that said paste would leave traces -- but it turned out to be a normal modern vinyl wallpaper that cleans up beautifully as long as you wipe the paste off the paper with clean water quickly. I ended up wiping every seam down with a clean damp sponge just in case, right after I put up every strip (keeping 2 buckets -- one with dirty water and one with clean water), and there is no trace of paste left anywhere. One thing that was definitely helpful to get a neat look was to color the paper edges with a crayon in a similarish color. I re-rolled all the strips tightly after cutting them and colored the ends of the resulting roll. This helped avoid visible white lines between strips. The white border showing was fairly noticeable in a place where I double cut the wallpaper and created a new, un-crayoned edge, but that's reasonably easily fixed by coloring with a marker. Apparently that's what the professionals do when working with dark wallpaper ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Anyway, if you are DIYing, watch youtube videos, and if you are hiring someone, make sure they have experience with dark colored wallpaper if that's what you got.
