I wasnt sure about these when I first opened the packages. The smell was so strong that I had to put them in the wash immediately (watch out for crazy amounts of fuzz from the chenille!). The pattern is also printed on, not embroidered, and I thought it might look tacky. They came out of the wash pretty wrinkled even though I took them out right away, and the instructions say not to iron. And after all that - I really love them! I thought they would be too childish for my 18 year old’s room but they turned out perfect. After all…she’s just a girl lol. These curtains drape well and look more expensive than expected. Depending on the width of your window (or door), you may want to order two panels to get the right fullness and thickness—I’m using mine for a sliding glass door and plan on doubling up (which i think will make a huge difference). Comparing the room darkening curtains to my blackout curtains and you can see the light permeates through. Not bad, but my blackout curtains you couldn’t tell if it was day or night outside but with the room darkening curtains you can see when it’s light outside. I have put photos to see the comparison.
