The bookends are pretty, however, there are two issues. The first, and most important, is that they do not hold heavy books up without sliding across your bookcase. There is no rubber gripper on the bottom of them. Secondly, one of mine was completely smooth on the bottom while the other one was rough and will scratch my bookcase.
