I have old, shabby kitchen counters that are looking very worse for wear and definitely need to be completely replaced. However, I can't afford a complete overhaul, so decided to opt for contact paper to make the kitchen look presentable to guests until I can finally replace everything professionally. I have to say: this couldn't be more perfect for what I wanted. Don't get me wrong--this will never be confused for real marble and isn't a substitute for professional renovation. However, it looks like really good quality laminate. To test it, I sneakily covered the counters without telling a relative, to see how they would react.
