Guildford 6 - Hook Wall Mounted Coat Rack

This is a pretty wall mount but extremely heavy. Absolutely needs 2 solid studs and 2 people to mount

I am pleased with the quality, and ordering was simple.

This wall coat rack is pretty but it could be made more smartly. The back has two keyholes to hang it from with provided bolts. The instructions say that you must hang it on a concrete wall or in drywall studs. The problem is that the keyholes are exactly 33” apart but standard studs are 32” apart--so there is no way to hit two studs. You either have to aim for one stud and use a drywall anchor for the other side or drill a hole into the middle of the coat rack to hit a middle stud and then cover your screw head with something decorative. The product description says it it has a distressed finish. It does not—it’s smooth and pretty white gloss. I chose this one over models because it’s not that deep. I'm hanging it just inside the front door and I didn't want one that protrudes out from the wall very far. It's elegant but only about 4" deep. I do like it and recommend it, but it would be a much better product if it was exactly one inch shorter so that the two keyholes to hang it from were 32" apart instead of 33" apart. I took the one star off for that.
