Portemanteau en bois massif

VERY pretty piece and great size for a small entryway. Unfortunately this is a bit of a case of "form over function". Once clothes (especially coats) are hung it becomes very top-heavy and starts to lean forward a bit and then sways whenever you remove an item to the point that it feels like it's going to topple over. I'll probably be able to fix it by adding some weight plates underneath or adding a support wire attached to the wall, but that kinda defeats the purpose of buying a freestanding and "ready to use" item. Also the joins on the vertical poles are not the sturdiest and appear to already be loosening after a week of use (which probably contributes to the lean / top-heaviness). This may be a good piece for lighter clothing in a low-traffic setting, but heavy use with coats is probably beyond its capabilities. We will likely buy something else when this one inevitably breaks - hopefully we can get at least a year out of it before then.

Easy to assemble and it looks great!

Very sturdy and well designed. It holds more coats than I expected and has pegs for your bags, hats, scarves, etc. I find that it looks neater than a traditional coat tree and coats are easier to access because they aren’t piled on top of one another

Very nice piece. Well packaged. Easy to assemble. Bolt heads are not covered, if that sort of thing bothers you, but typical for this price point and fairly subtle; they're all inset. I bought this for my guest room, to give guests some space to hang clothing. It fits perfectly and coordinates well with the other furnishings.
