just ok at best the shelf material is a little lighter in color than the photos suggest, and the material is not real wood. I wanted to stain it to match nearby furniture, but the shelf material would not accept a stain. the wall mounting method is not well-designed; based on the way the attachments on the back of the coat hook board are countersunk, I had to use the supplied wall anchors and screws, which are not very robust and won't bear much weight. more importantly, the design prevents the shelf from lying flat against the wall, so I had to use shims to keep it from pitching forward. the only reason I chose this shelf was to match the nearby furniture, but in reality, this is a $20 product selling for more than $150.
