The directions and screws are terrible. I had to go to the hardware store to replace both the screws and nuts. You cannot make the stand permanent, for once you lift it up, the center pole lifts right off the base. It is too bad, for once you get the item together it looks good. I will see how well it stands up at the Oct. 30th craft fair.
