made rice and steamed dumplings all at the same time. Turned out perfect. Had an older 10 plus year old Aroma model we loved and daughter stole it so I was forced to buy new one. Good value, easy to use, love the handle. Wish there was a place to hold spatula for stirring—for now just use handle to hold in place. Removable top seal plate makes cleaning easy. Wish there was option to get a stainless steel steaming tray vs plastic or steel with ceramiccoat. Also, included spatula is not heat tolerant so use your own silicone one. Included rice measuring cup is cheaply made so you may want to discard and use your own. INSTRUCTIONS DO NOT TELL YOU HOW TO REMOVE TOP SEAL PLATE. Switch at top to press down to release. Maybe color code the switch so easy to see. They need to add an illustration in manual. Ceramic coat works well to keep rice from sticking. Like how when cook is done it switches to keep warm. stay cool Handles on pot make it easy to lift out. While it says it does 20 cups cooked rice, we mostly do 5-10 cups cooked so space above to stir and not make a mess. Stainless steel looks durable and gives a modern feel with the black plastic. Hinge is spring loaded so it stays up and won’t slam down. when first used there was a smell when heating but then went away.

I really like that I can remove the lid attachment to clean it. The rice comes out very nice and not browned at the bottom. I wished it came with a stainless steel steamer insert instead of plastic. My reason for buying this model was that it was a healthier option than the traditional non stick inner pot. Having this come with a plastic steamer kind of defeated my purpose.
