I’m giving this 45 stars for only for the terrible assembly process and instructions. Once it’s done 55 stars easily. It’s absolutely gorgeous. However let’s go over the assembly process. This whole thing took my husband and I 6.5 hours AND we had to hire a handyman to come fix it and complete it and it still took him an hour. The instructions are vague and not detailed in some steps which is what caused some issues. You assemble this in two pieces, a top half and a bottom half. The bottom half when you’re assembling the drawers, had a horrible drawing for the layout and we ended up putting the boards for the drawers upside down. We didn’t realize it until a few steps later so we would have had to backtrack a lot. My husband thought it would work as it was. It didn’t. I tried going with the flow and putting the drawers in the wrong order (biggest to smallest) but then the big drawer was overlapping at the top and the small drawer had a gap at the bottom. We would have just backtracked the last few steps if it weren’t for the fact that the second backer board for the bottom half didn’t fit right and wouldn’t stay in, so at the point of the drawers being wrong we had already rigged the backer board to stay in and neither wanted to mess with it. In the process of trying to fix the backer board it chipped one of the very front pieces veneer off (I had to superglue it back on because there was no way I was requesting a replacement for this. We would have had to reassemble everything just to fix the one piece). But back to the drawers, I tried fixing them myself and finally just gave up because I was about to kick this. Called the handyman to come fix. They re-measured everything, dis-assembled the drawer slides and the wooden pieces the slides are on, and re assembled them while the top half of the cabinet was in place. Now that it’s together it’s absolutely gorgeous. If you get this, pay extra for assembly if you can. Save yourself the headache.

Cabinet arrived in 3 separate packages. Instructions are easy to follow and all hardware was included plus more. It is put together in two sections and you will need 2 plus people to put the top on. Do Not set the top section upright until ready to put on the base. My sister was coming over to help me and I thought if I turned it upright it would save some time. It bent the screws on the back end because it was so heavy. This is a free with review purchase and when I got it, it was over 700.00...ridiculous. now I see its down to 500.00 something. Still ridiculous. I am using this as a desk basically. I had a previous desk that I purchased from wayfair and when I moved to my new house, the movers broke the top part. This cabinet is almost the same and I actually paid for the previous one 200.00 less. This one is much taller. I didnt realize how tall it was. This is NOT real wood. I had to take a chainsaw to the old desk to get it out of the room. Same wood. Basically paper pressed together. For the price they are asking...it should be better. I forgot to take a picture before I took a back section from the upper shelf out. My cat likes to look out the window and this totally covers it. My fault for measuring wrong. I do like that it has 6 drawers and I love the wired doors. Once you get it built, this will be a piece that stays where you put it. I dont see this holding up to a move. Once its there...its there.. My fault again for measuring wrong. It really is nice..but not for me. Im still giving a good review because my reasons are personal.
